On the road again

Its been a tense week - are we going to afford the repair of the car, how much will it actually cost to take it  to a garage, will there be an immediate slot available? Are we going to get the car back in time to take it to the MOT on friday afternoon and will it past or will we be without a car for the weekend? What happens if the Ua MOT joins the strike thats currently taking place in various parts of the country....how long will we be out of a car then.... !

Luckily it PAST!!

One of those days

We all slept in this morning (well that was after I went back to bed at 6 am) and didnt wake up until 8.30, nice but it resulted in a pretty hectic morning.
It is still bucketing down and still no car but luckily the bus stop is only 100 meters away.

Discussion in todays local paper:

Closing down the councils childrens centre is a bad idea but maybe this whole in the market will benefit my childrens cafe idea.

waiting for the bus to take us to nursery 1 1|2 too late....

Easy peasy lemon squeeze

If every day was as good as today having two kids would be too bad.
I got help in the morning getting Mina ready, Emilie fed Eliza while cooking lunch AND picked Mina up from nursery (think this is the first time she has ever been picked up by someone else but us, and nursery was very good and called us to make sure Emilie wasnt a strainger...)
Back from yoga (1 1/2 hr of me-time) and both children eaten and ready for bed, dinner for me on the stove.
If every day was this easy

Massage swap

Time to dust off the old massage table. Today my brothers girlfriend was here for a massage and it worked out a treat for everyone ;-)
Eliza went down for a long nap shortly after Emelie arrived and she got her 1 hr massage. Then she helped me with Eliza while I made lunch and even picked Mina up from nursery. So everyone was a winner (except Paul who had to work on the car again before taking it to the garage).

It worked out so well that we will try and fit in more sessions, I could really do with some extra help and Emilie is in need of more massage. Awesome!

Soon off to yoga, the last time this term ; -) I really hope they continue with this type of yoga at Ulvön this summer. However drumming is fun too, whichever they decide to do I will be there.

Still no car

A real mission getting going this morning. I had set the alarm to get us to the bus stop (100 meters from our door) on time and if we missed that one there was another one 15 min later - we didnt make it....so we had to walk to nursery.
As a knock on effect I missed my train and had to hang around in the village for 1 hr and lost 2 of Elizas dummies in the meantime (had to buy some more and 'sterilize' them in a hot cup of water from the espresso machine at Mitt i Prick (Sunes).
Then my train was delayed 20 min and I had a meeting to pick up my insoles - yes it has come to that, this second pregnancy has broken me completely, no more high heels and sexy shoes. But I refuse to buy the special soft-walk shoes that they sell in the shop. Its me and the old people who visits this shop, for gods sake - it really brings me down.

Afterwards me and Eliza had a lovely fika at Leilas cafe.
I had so many errands I had planed to do and all we had time for was a fika. When you have to rely on public transport and having to pick up a second child within 5 hours there isnt time for any slip ups.

Elizas first fika!

So everything is sorted, all the outstanding bills are payed and we are still in good health ;-)
So happy to be back on the trampoline

Pick nick in the garden

So nice to have tidied up the garden. There is still tons to do and we probably need a season to find out what is weed and what's not but raking the lawn (getting rid of all the twigs and branches from the winter storms), trimming the hedge, planting some vegetables and mooing the lawn has made wonders.
